For those who do not know me, I have been a member of the Station L men’s team since 2011. I joined the Board three years ago. I am seeking a second term as Board member, because I would like to continue contributing to the success of the club during this period of transition. Thank you for your consideration.

In June 2019 I retired from Portland Public Schools after 20 years there as an administrator, with the last seventeen years as a school principal. I have been a part of the Mazamas which is a mountaineering club focused on education, enjoyment of the outdoors and environmental stewardship. I served on the Mazama Board for three years and was an active climb leader for over ten years. I feel both my experience as an educator and my previous role on the board of a non-profit organization provides me with the necessary skills to be a part of the Station L board. One of my goals in retirement is to give back to my community and I hope to do so by taking a more active role with Station L.

I started rowing in 1993, and my life has been shaped by this sport ever since. I’ve previously served as a leader and representative member of UCLA Rowing, president of Portland Women’s Rowing, and the board of Portland Boathouse. Station L is a unique, inclusive and vibrant community that I am proud to be part of. I would welcome the opportunity to again serve as a board member for Station L, to help shape and sustain our club as we move into our next chapter.
