Club Fall Banquet Info and Announcements

Save the date!  Our annual fall member awards banquet is November 12 at the boathouse.

  • 6:30 pm – hors d’oeuvres and BYOB drinks (glasses + ice provided)
  • 7:30 pm – awards program and raffle drawing (bring cash!)
  • 8:00 pm – music (DJ!) and dancing

    Don’t miss this event

    It’s a great way to celebrate the year and meet up with all your rowing friends.  Tickets are $30 and must be purchased prior to the event at this link.

•Last Saturday we put 95 members on the water for the Race ‘Round Ross Island.  The highlight was watching three 8+’s worth of brand new class graduates all finish the course within 7 seconds of each other.  Thanks for all the enthusiasm

•A new ramp is under construction.  At the moment it is not interfering with our rowing schedule.  Construction is scheduled to wrap up by the end of the month (and the Fall Classic will be unaffected)

•Weather for the weekend looks bad.   We normally don’t cancel rows beforehand, as the forecasted winds are not totally predictable.  But it doesn’t look good right now.

•American Lake Fall Classic, scheduled for Sunday has been cancelled.  Peter will be in contact with participants about how entry fees will be handled.

•Get those pledges in to Peter.  Even if you don’t plan to give the money until later in the drive, it helps to know everyone’s intentions!
