Fall Round Up

The fall rowing season is ending with a bang at Station L.

•First off, 42 club members travelled to Seattle for the Head of the Lake regatta.  Paced by 2nd place finishes in the women’s 8+, men’s 4x, and women’s 2x, our members rowed under sunny skies in the last competition of 2016.  Full Results here

•Despite todays’ glorious weather, winter rowing rules are in effect. Rowing only at organized Saturday and Sunday practices.  While this may not make sense on a day like today, it’s too difficult for us to make daily calls on conditions for solo rowing.  Sorry.

Special Thanksgiving Day row, 7am

The Capital campaign is ongoing.  We are approaching 50% of our goal. But we need EVERY member to take part, even if it’s only a little bit.  We’ve already welcomed our first new shell, a lovely Filippi 4x suitable for women and light men or mixed crews.

•The winter erg schedule has been set.   Coaches and captains will communicate details.  The basic schedule is:
•M W F mornings in Rose City and Station L bays.  Women priority in RCRC bay.

•T TH mornings in Station L bay.  (RCRC only if numbers warrant)

•Supervised men’s erging on T mornings and W evenings at 6:30pm

•Boathouse is open 24/7, just note the parking restrictions, M-F, 7:30am-3pm
