We are making some small adjustments to our coached rowing schedule to better serve more members.
L3 Sculling
L3 Sculling on Fridays has been suspended for now. This is in large part due to low attendance and the WF women’s sweep schedule. We may add it back later this spring. L3 sculling continues on Tuesdays with Leslie.
We are adding L3 scull coaching to Monday mornings–so L4 and L3’s will be together with two coaches. The boathouse is empty of sweep rowers on Mondays–so more room for the scullers.
Weekend Open Rows
While open rows have traditionally been sweep on Saturday and sculling on Sunday, this year we are trying to broaden opportunities on both days. On Saturdays there will be a coach designated as the sculling contact. Just ask when you get to the boathouse. And the same for sweep on Sundays. Both days are busy, and by designating one coach as the “go-to” person, it should help.
Evening Open Rows
Later this month we are going to try some evening open rows. Originally scheduled for Thursdays, these rows are going to be on Mondays starting April 17. 5:30pm. You can sweep or scull. Depending on numbers, you may be able to work in small boats.
