This Saturday we are gathering to celebrate the end of our 2015 Learn
to Row classes and engage in a bit of friendly competition.
Meet at the boathouse at 7am to stretch and organize. Launching at
7:30. Racing at 8am. Before the race we will try and collect all
of the boats under the new bridge for a club photo.
Aside from the fun of gathering to socialize, our coaches will be
organizing boats with an eye on speed, so plan to bring your game
face for at least a few minutes. The racing will be timed. Awards
will be given, but the categories won’t be announced until after
racing ends. Thus it’s possible that the top award might be for
“misadventure while racing” or some other category.
A potluck brunch will follow at 9am back at the boathouse. Please
examine the sign up link below for the brunch and other volunteer
opportunities to support this event. We will need a few extra
coxes, a couple of timers and of course, a variety of foodstuffs.
