Hosted Regattas

Station L Rowing Club helps run two regattas out of the Portland Boathouse.

Head of the Dog (HotDOG)

Station L is proud to have taken over the Head of the Dog regatta.

The Head of the Dog has been a fixture on the NW fall rowing calendar for around 30 years.  Portland Boat Club has been the long time steward of the event.  Station L Rowing Club has stepped in to run the regatta with the goal of keeping most, if not all, of the traditions alive.

The current course starts near the Station L Rowing club dock. The course goes us the ‘back channel’ does a 180 degree turn around a buoy and returns back to where it started.

The race occurs at the end of September, details can be found on Regatta Central.
