Some boats have been found improperly strapped down after rowing/washing. Help us prevent damages and review the pictures and summary point below:
Boats on the trailer or metal vertical racks:
- Sling one end (the bow end for boats on the vertical racks)
- Strap the other end down to the rack or trailer post. Contact point to the rack post is on the gunwale (see pictures for examples) — not the splash guard or deck, which are more fragile.
All boats:
- Do not set boat down with splash guard on the slings
- Cinch straps so the metal clasp is not in contact with the boat itself
